Last week students chose a short (2-3 page) non-fiction passage from our anthology reader. I asked them to focus on connecting to the passage by interviewing each other (not shown for privacy reasons). The interview connections were "How does the passage remind you of something in your own life?" and "What else have you read that comes to mind?"
Then students created a Tellagami or Chatterpix Kids video talking about what they agree with that the author wrote and what they wished the author had written more about.
