Disney Imagineer

I found a great set of project based lesson plans related to Disney Imagineers at PBL Disney, from Dr. Howie DiBlasi. The lesson plans were written for students older than 2nd grade, so I modified them somewhat and condensed the time frame to about 3 hours.

After a lot of discussion and brainstorming groups of students planned a ride. They had to determine the type of ride (show, water, car, etc.), the "feeling" of the ride (silly, scary, etc.), the target audience, and the story.

Next, the group created a 2D model/map of their ride, indicating special features.

Then they created a poster advertising their ride.

The last 2 activities were to create a 3D model of the ride and to show what would entertain guests as they were waiting in line.
